I wish I could be more specific about this "combination" effect. Disallowed (illegal) combinations are marked with the tiny yellow triangle. Source = tray 1 - again, sometimes it is a matter of "the order in which you select" that either allows or "disallows" a combination. Not always, but sometimes you have to select the paper size and THEN the Media type to keep the little yellow triangle of doom from disallowing your "combination" of paper type, paper size, and tray. Paper size = your new little custom form. The point is to choose something that will tell the printer the paper is "thicker" than normal paper without tripping of the printer's "sensor" for photo paper. For example, if all else fails, choose brochure or Presentation. Media type = (paper type) Index card or similar, maybe "card stock". Remove the paper from the main tray - load in a small stack of your Index cards (at least five to maybe fifteen cards), face side down, short end front and back. Many printers restrict the photo tray to one or possibly two sizes of paper, usually (not always) of Media type (kind of paper) Photo. Hint: Start with an "Index" card of similar size to create your custom paper form. Left-Clickon your Printer one time to highlight > If "custom paper forms" are available (allowed) for your printer, find the setup:Ĭontrol Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers> Believe you can print on the 3X5 inch cards though it does appear you will have to create a Custom paper size form to do so.
