For reference, Windows 10 performed better in the beta stages than Windows 8 & 8.1 did during the later stages of their retail builds. Additionally, I had two other systems on Windows 8.1.

The issue is clearly the Saitek software & driver contents being incompatible with the latest build update before this update Saitek also had issues with Windows 10, thus they released a "beta" driver, which up until today worked fine.Īlso, I have been gaming for months on Windows 10 圆4, before that I was on the Windows 10 RC (release client), before that, various beta builds of the OS. I have checked several peripherals both USB 2.0 & USB 3.0 with no issues from Razer, Logitech, Corsair, or Microsoft's XBOX One controller. Windows 10 圆4 was not an issue prior to the November build update to 1511 performed this morning. I normally give an OS at least a year before upgrading but this time I'm sticking with Win 7, everything runs fine on my system and the more I read about win 10, I more I want to avoid it at all costs.

seems like theres either an old driver stuck in place or there is no driver available for windows 10 yet. i mean, why would I want to change anyway? win 7 runs everything i need perfectly :). im waiting for 2017 before making any changes. Originally posted by wolf:as a general rule, if your machine is important, allow new os releases to mature at least 2 years before switching. If you select the X52 line you get a critical error and it stops. I wrote the steps down from memory (I don't want to retry with the risk of messing something up) -> BUT the right selection of the USB device (AND NOT X52.) is important. Install will continue and finish correctly Now select the 1st option "USB device" or something similar NB: NOT the 2nd one with USB X52 in the name!!!ĭirectly after this W10 detects your X52 and you can select NEXT in the installer Right click on the X52 device and select update driverĬhoose "let me pick" (2nd option) -> you get a list of 2 compatible devices Just let the installer run (with the NEXT button greyed out) and go to device manager When the screen pops up with the instruction to plugin your X52 -> plug it in.

Run the installer (with the latest beta drivers for W10) Go to device manager and delete the X52 and USB devices with an ! sign (warning/not installed correctly) After a lot of trial and error I found the following fix: I tried to reinstall, but the installer just hangs and did not detect the X52 being plugged in. UPDATE #3 SOLUTION ADDED to #2 instructions!Īfter the major Windows 10 update yesterday (build 1511) my Saitek x52 Pro didn't work anymore. UPDATE #2 possible solution: From X-Plane Forums regarding the issue: In the meantime, as I previously advised, do not carry out Windows 10 November platform update if you wish to continue using your Saitek product(s). I will continue to update the information for others who are on the Windows 10 圆4 platform as new information, or troubleshooting comes to me. I have submitted a ticket to Saitek/MadCatz, as there seems to currently be no way to resolve the issue on the client's end. My rig's specifications ar ein my Steam profile. To everyone else on Windows 10 圆4, be warned that by updating to the new build your HOTAS will no longer function. Additionalliy, if I myself encounter a solution I will post it here. If anyone else has encountered this issue, and has a workaround, or has gotten their X52 or X52 Pro HOTAS to work on the new Windows 10 圆4 build please let me know. Currently I am at a loss, as naturally Saitek/MadCatz support is in my opinion the worst in the industry. I tired using reinstalling the Saitek beta drivers for Windows 10 圆4 to no avail. In doing so, my X52 Pro no longer works, or is acknowledged as being connected via USB. So, this morning I did the Windows build update (November).
